Using GBDeflicker with Adobe After Effects

On a Multi-Processor Computer

After Effects might use your computer's multiple processors in a way that degrades GBDeflicker's effectiveness.

GBDeflicker's smoothing method uses the luminance value over the entire sequence of a clip. If After Effects renders multiple portions of a clip simultaneously, GBDeflicker may not have the luminance data it needs to eliminate the flicker.

If this is happening you may notice that GBDeflicker doesn't seem to be working. Or you may see this dialog pop up while rendering.

To prevent this from happening, DON'T USE THE CAPS LOCK KEY...



... and uncheck "Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously" in After Effects' Preferences ...
